The FireMan project has published a series of press releases

The Research Council of Finland-funded FireMan project has published a series of press releases showcasing major progress in Finland’s development of drone‑enabled wildfire detection and response capabilities. The releases highlight new operational concepts, sensor innovations and inter-agency cooperation models designed to support authorities in early‑phase wildfire identification and situational awareness.

Across the 2024 and 2025 updates, FireMan partners describe how drone platforms, remote‑sensing payloads, edge‑AI processing and multi‑agency communication tools are being evaluated in real environments. The press releases also present results from field trials where FireMan technologies were tested with rescue services, environmental authorities and research organisations.

The published materials underline the project’s role in accelerating the adoption of unmanned systems for wildfire resilience, strengthening Finland’s national preparedness and contributing to Europe‑wide efforts toward climate‑adaptive emergency response.

FUAVE congratulates the FireMan team for the successful dissemination of results and their strong contribution to evidence‑based drone innovation in public safety.
